​건국대학교 졸업패션쇼 _ Pleasantville (2015)

 

Pleasant Ville is a happy town within a black and white world. However, it is a very repetitive, disciplinary and mechanical lifestyle and therefore, a world lacking much feelings and emotions. 

I wanted to express a fragmented emotion and black and white media through the various tones of the color grey. By chance, I had discovered a sudden strong impulse. That impulse would turn into my inspiration and ultimately shape into my colors.

In the black and white world, my feelings would gradually influence the colors to bloom into a variety of different hues and tones. Through the cracks and crevices of the existing world, color would start to seep through and wash over the black and white. 

Eventually, the diverse and vivid colors would take over city and would reveal the lively and three-dimensional, authentic view of Pleasant Ville.

Pleasant ville은 흑백 미디어 속의 즐거운 마을이다. 하지만 반복적이고 규율적인 틀에 얽매인 삶으로, 기계적이고 풍부한 감정을 느낄 수 없는 세계이다.

 나는 흑백 미디어와 단편적인 감정을 회색이라는 요소에 담아 표현하고자 했다. 우연한 기회로 강렬한 감정을 발견하고 감정적인 요소가 색상으로써 시각화된다. 흑백의 세상속에 점점 감정이 개입되어 다양한 색상들이 피어나게 된다. 기존의 세상에 균열과 변화가 생기며, 컬러가 점차 회색을 잠식한다.

결국에는 다양하고 비비드한 컬러들이 주를 이뤄 감정이 넘치고 생동감있는 진정한 pleasantville의 모습을 보여준다.
