MERRELL x Da young kim

Da young Kim is worked  at Merrell Korea. she was working with members of Merrell on various design works including trend research, tech pack, sampling, quality confirm and developing trims.

 

Merrell is an American footwear company founded by Clark Matis, Randy Merrell, and John Schweizer in 1981 as a maker of high-performance hiking boots. Since 1997, the company has been a wholly owned subsidiary of shoe industry giant Wolverine World Wide. The company recorded total sales of footwear and clothing of nearly $500 million in 2010. 

In 2007, the Merrell line was expanded yet again to include apparel and accessories..

By 2010, Merrell products were being sold in 151 countries. Annual sales for the brand totaled nearly $500 million in 2010.

Merrell make all of their products with four core values in mind : comfort, durability, design and versatility. it’s all about removing the barriers to enjoying the great outdoors/ and indoors. 

 

김다영은 미국에 본사를 둔 브랜드 머렐에서 디자이너로 일하였다. 머렐 디자인팀의 일원으로서  트랜드조사, 작업지시서(T/P), 샘플작업, 샘플퀄리티 체크, 부자재 개발 등 다양한 디자인일을 했다.

머렐은 고성능 등산화를 만드는 업체로 1981년에 Clark Matis, Randy Merrell 그리고 John Schweizer 에 의해 설립된 미국 신발 회사이며, 2007년에는 의류와 악세서리까지 머렐라인을 확장시켰다. 

머렐 상품들은 전세계 151개국에서 판매되고 있으며, 2010년에는 연매출 5억달러를 달성했다. 

머렐은 편안함, 내구성, 디자인 그리고 다양성과 같은 4 가지 핵심 가치를 염두에 두고 모든 제품을 만든다. 이것은 아웃도어와 실내활동 모두를 즐길수 있는 경계를 허무는 것이다.
